Do I need reservations?
Yes. We often host full studio events, field trips, or can just generally be very busy. The only way to guarantee to be able to come in to create with us is to make a reservation even for just one person. You can reserve time for painting pottery or mosaics on the General Studio tab or reserve for Classes and Events on our Calendar.
I left my pottery there a while ago. Do you still have it?
We hold all artwork left to be fired with us for 30 days. After that time it becomes property of Craft Haus and will be donated. We maintain this policy for the safety of all customer’s artwork. As our storage shelves become too crowded, items are more likely to become damaged or missing. Because of the high volume of items we fire, we cannot guarantee calling to remind you to pick up your items.
Is this for kids or adults?
We offer a variety of programs for all ages. On our calendar we have classes and events for toddlers, kids, adults, and all ages family classes. In our General Studio, pottery painting is safe for all ages and mosaic is open to ages 8 to adult. We also have party options to make your celebration a success whether you’re throwing a party for someone turning 6 or 60!
I have a gift emergency! Do I really have to wait 7 days for firing?
We do offer a 4 day rush with a fee that is 20% of the price of the item. Unfortunately, we do not offer anything faster than that as rushing pottery too quickly is dangerous to your artwork and our equipment. If you’re in pinch, make a reservation to come in for mosaic as it can be taken home the same day with a grouting kit OR try signing up for any of our canvas painting classes on our calendar as canvas can be taken home right after the class.
Is my pottery functional?
All pottery is food safe. We highly recommend hand washing and avoiding the microwave simply because it helps extend the life of your item, but it is certainly safe to put in a dish washer or the microwave. Certain items such as teapots are safe to serve out of but should not be placed on at open flame. Heat your water separately in a kettle and then transfer to your teapot for serving.
I broke something I made at Craft Haus. Can you help me fix it?
Depending on what the item is and how severe the break is, we usually cannot fix broken pieces. In the past when we have refired damaged items, the stress on the piece from the additional kiln process sometimes creates new issues with the item.
What happened to Go van Gogh?
You’re looking at it! Go van Gogh did not disappear, it just got a little freshening up! It’s still the same great locally-owned business you’ve loved for the last 11 years. We just decided to adopt a fresh look to continue to inspire your creativity. While we may have updated a few store policies and added new programs, we hope you’re enjoying all of the exciting new classes and events we’ve been bringing you!
